LINK: Seyfried and Hardwicke take on "Little Red Riding Hood" «
I never really considered the idea of an adult/edgy/sexy version of “Little Red Riding Hood,” but I actually feel super great about it! Adding to that feeling of greatest is the killer casting of Amanda Seyfried! It’s like proper/awesome/beautiful/innocent “Mamma Mia” Seyfried meets sexy/seductive “Chloe” Seyfried! AND it’s being directed by Catherine Hardwicke of “Twilight” fame. Taylor Lautner as wolf, anyone?

Vanity Fair featured nine of the buzziest young actresses in its “New Hollywood” issue.
We’re Happy About:
Kristen Stewart: I’m a sucker for Twilight, but her work in Adventureland, Into the Wild and (reportedly) The Runaways gives her serious cred.
Carey Mulligan: I’m willing to forgive her relationship with Shia because her performance in An Education is the best thing I saw all year. An Oscar would be WELL deserved
Amanda Seyfried: From Big Love to Mean Girls to Mamma Mia to Dear John, Amanda has shown she can do ANY genre (seriously) and DO IT WELL.
Emma Stone: Emma Stone is Lindsay Lohan done right—hopefully. Besides the striking resemblance, Emma’s got Lindsay’s comedic timing without the crazy. She stole Zombieland and Superbad for me.
Anna Kendrick: Where Carey Mulligan meets Kristen Stewart! Her performance in Into the Air was as “breakthrough” as Mulligan’s this year (and she, too, is unjustly #2 this award season), but it’s her work in Twilight that makes me <3 her forev.
We’re Sad About:
Evan Rachel Wood: I want to like her, but now she has dated Marilyn Manson and been the only bad part of True Blood (in what should have been an incredible role). BOO.
Abbie Cornish: Something about her annoys me, and she dates Ryan Phillippe.
We’re Ambivalent About:
Mia Wasikowska: I’ll wait to see how Alice in Wonderland goes.
Rebecca Hall: She was good in Vicky Cristina Barcelona, but whatev.

LINK: Amanda Seyfried adds another line to her resume «
As if I wasn’t already convinced Amanda Seyfried could Do No Wrong, check her out in her singer-songwriter debut over an E! It’s no surprise after Mamma Mia (and her performance of “Amazing Grace” on Big Love) that she would decide to dabble in music, but the results are quite excellent. The track will be featured in her new movie, “Dear John.”

Ooh, girl! Amanda Seyfried’s got herself the title role in “Chloe,”—set to come out this March. The flick will no doubt prove to be a departure from Seyfried’s quazi-innocent, fresh-faced roles in “Mean Girls,” “Big Love,” “Mama Mia,” and “Jennifer’s Body.” I mean, Amanda goes from a make-out sesh with Megan Fox (“Jennifer’s Body”) to a sex scene with Julianne Moore, not to mention a frolic with Liam Neeson…Big sh*t poppin’ for Seyfriend in 2010! This salacious made-in-France trailer bares all…NSFW!

“Big Love” is BACK! YES! And with one of the most amazing casts on television—Chloe Sevigny, Ginnifer Goodwin, Amanda Seyfried, Jeanne Tripplehorn, etc.—I have nothing but BIG LOVE for this series. So many amazing, complex characters, endless amounts of mind-boggling drama…This is HBO at its finest. Season 4 premieres this SUNDAY. And if you’re a total sucker for HBO’s dramatic artsy promos (I am), be sure to check out all of the “falling” promos for this season.
